Two amateur cooks go head-to-head as they set up rival restaurants – in their own homes...!
Starting up a restaurant is tough at the best of times, but even tougher in a recession. Aspiring and amateur chefs are looking for a chance to test their culinary skills without the financial risk of a new business. Restaurant goers are also looking for bargains as incomes are squeezed. Instant Restaurant is a solution for both; luxury eateries in people’s homes with high quality low-cost food and limited financial risk for the proprietors.
In Instant Restaurant a presenter meets two aspiring chefs living in the same part of the country. Both amateurs must then turn their own homes into restaurants for one night only using whatever means necessary. Not only do they have to transform their home into a gorgeous bistro with top-quality food, they have to make more money than their competitor and ultimately the biggest profit.
Instant Restaurant is recession busting programming combining great amateur cooking, a high-tension competition and the opportunity to sneak-a-peek into other people’s homes.
