RDF Rights secures international sales for landmark CBeebies series Waybuloo

05 October 2009

RDF Rights (RDFR) part of the RDF Media Group is delighted to announce that Waybuloo has rated consistently well after launching in the Bedtime Hour on CBeebies just three weeks ago. The hit pre-school series from The Foundation has also been picked up by several key territories internationally.

Waybuloo has already achieved an average audience of 363,500 with a share of just under 3%, beating the benchmark share of 2.15%. It has attracted an impressive 20% share of carers with children 0-3 and 16% of children aged 4-6, since it launched in the Bedtime Hour at the beginning of September.

YLE in Finland and Al Jazeera’s Children Channel in the Middle East have both bought Waybuloo with TV NZ in New Zealand also picking up the CBeebies series.

Waybuloo has pre-sold to Treehouse TV in Canada with the launch just last month, ABC in Australia and BBC Worldwide for the international version of the CBeebies channel, which currently reaches 8.9 million homes around the world. The first territories to launch Waybuloo for BBC Worldwide will be Poland and South Africa later this year.

Henrietta Hurford – Jones, Director, International Kids and Family said “The response to WAYBULOO from our audience and their parents has been amazing. We’re thrilled to be moving into new territories all the time and working with such great and supportive partners across the world.”

RDFR holds worldwide rights in all media in the property and will be at MIP Junior showcasing Waybuloo.
