IWC cooks up Iron Chef for Channel 4

10 December 2009

IWC Media, part of RDF Scotland, is bringing the amazing cult Japanese cookery hit Iron Chef to British TV for the very first time. Channel 4 have commissioned 25 episodes of the high energy cookery format to play daily at 5pm in 2010. The series will be made out of Scotland.

Each week the show will pitch teams of culinary challengers against four resident Iron Chefs; powerful, ruthless masters of global cuisine who will take no prisoners in their quest to dominate the show’s kitchen stadium. The challenge each day will be to cook four stunning dishes all based on that day’s special ingredient - be it pork belly or cranberry.

The finale at the end of the week will see the best of that week’s challengers face-off against the strongest of that week’s Iron Chef’s in the biggest of challenges – where the special ingredient will be extraordinary, and £1,000 prize money at stake.

Adam MacDonald, Creative Director, IWC Media said
